This is way last minute, but I just found out about a seminar tonight at 6:30 in Foster 102 that is cosponsored by the American Enterprise Institute and the Department of Economics. Also, Chick-Fil-A will be provided.
You can earn extra credit by attending and reporting on the talk by author and economist Kenneth Barnes, which is is entitled “The Effects of Postmodernism and the Role of Christianity in Economics.”
If you decide to take advantage of this opportunity, I will use the grade you earn on your report to replace your lowest quiz grade in Finance 4335 (assuming that your grade on the extra credit is higher than your lowest quiz grade). The report should be in the form of a 1-2 page executive summary in which you provide a critical analysis of Dr. Barnes’ lecture. In order to receive credit, the report must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org in either Word or PDF format by no later than Monday, March 9 at 5 p.m.
